Mrs. Elsie Sylvia Badu, born in Kumasi, Ghana, on 22nd January 1980, is a Deputy Chief Health Tutor at the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Agogo, a position she has held since 2020, where she oversees curriculum implementation, theoretical and clinical instruction, student evaluation, and mentorship, ensuring coherence between classroom education and clinical practice. She holds a B.Ed. in Health Science Education, a B.Sc. in Nursing, an MPhil in Educational Studies, and an MSc in Leadership, Organizational and Management from Presbyterian University College, alongside specialized diplomas in perioperative and general nursing, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing Education at Walden University. Since her transfer to Agogo in 2014, she has focused on student-centered research and innovative teaching strategies tailored to both Ghanaian and global healthcare needs. She actively participates in community outreach, counselling, and mentoring future nurses and midwives, bridging the gap between academic learning and clinical practice. Since 2015, she has supervised numerous patient and family care studies on hypertension, heart failure, and cerebrovascular accidents, reflecting her strong commitment to advancing cardiovascular health education through the nursing process approach. At CardioCare 2026, she aims to contribute her expertise toward transforming cardiovascular health through innovation in research, treatment, and patient care, with a strong emphasis on equity, early detection, and the integration of real-world evidence into nursing education.  

Mrs. Elsie Sylvia Badu’s research interests include cardiovascular health and nursing care, particularly in hypertension, heart failure, and cerebrovascular accident management, nursing education and innovative teaching methodologies, student-centered learning and curriculum development in nursing and midwifery education, clinical nursing practice and the integration of theory into patient care, perioperative nursing and surgical patient management, leadership and organizational management in healthcare, patient and family-centered care using the nursing process approach, community health outreach and health promotion, early detection and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, evidence-based practice and integration of real-world evidence into nursing education, healthcare equity and access to quality nursing services, and mentorship and professional development of future nurses and midwives.
