Professor Dr. Angela Lee Siew Hoong is the Deputy Dean (Employability & Alumni) at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, Malaysia. A trailblazer in the field of Data Science education, she has been instrumental in shaping and developing the data science curriculum for over a decade and was the pioneer behind the launch of the Data Science degree program at Sunway University. She is a two-time recipient of the prestigious SAS Global Forum Distinguished Educator Award for Asia Pacific (2021 and 2024) and has also been honored with the National Outstanding Educator Award for her impactful contributions to education and analytics. Prof. Angela is a regular speaker at AI and analytics conferences, known for her innovative methods of integrating AI into education from foundational analytics to advanced AI applications. She teaches a variety of specialized subjects including Social Media Analytics, Visual Analytics, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence. Her research spans key areas such as Healthcare Analytics, Technology Adoption, Sentiment Analysis, and Predictive Analytics, and she has authored numerous publications in high-impact international journals. Prof. Angela continues to champion the role of AI and data-driven decision-making in driving sustainable development and industry innovation.
