Dr. Jaideep Srivastava is a globally recognized expert in artificial intelligence, data mining, and knowledge discovery, with an outstanding career spanning academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and government. He leads a research laboratory specializing in the information and knowledge aspects of computing, where he has supervised 46 Ph.D. dissertations, 70 M.S. theses, and numerous postdoctoral researchers. He has authored or co-authored over 490 refereed publications and is a co-inventor on more than ten patents. Dr. Srivastava previously served as Research Director and Chief Scientist at the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), where he provided scientific leadership and guided research strategy, evaluation, and technology commercialization. His industry experience includes leadership roles at Amazon.com, Yodlee, and Persistent Systems, and he co-founded Ninja Metrics to commercialize research in game analytics. He has also served as Senior Technology Advisor to the State of Minnesota and advised the Government of India on the Aadhaar (Unique ID) project. A Fellow of the IEEE, Dr. Srivastava has received numerous honors, including the PAKDD Distinguished Contributions Award for his lifetime achievements in data mining and artificial intelligence.
