Cybersecurity and information assurance, particularly in network security, ethical hacking, and security risk management. I am also interested in IoT and smart home security, big data security, and mobile application security. Additionally, my work explores phishing attacks, cybersecurity awareness, and the application of data mining techniques to improve security systems.
Dr. Yazan Alshboul is an Associate Professor in the Cybersecurity Program at the College of Computer and Information Sciences. He holds a D.Sc. in Information Systems with a specialization in Information Assurance and Computer Security from Dakota State University, USA. His research focuses on cybersecurity, information assurance, network security, and security risk management. He has published several research papers in international journals and conferences and actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer and researcher in cybersecurity and information systems.
