Intelligent Cybersecurity for IoT: Leveraging AI for Threat Detection and Resilience
Yousef Farhaoui is a professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Errachidia (Moulay Ismail University) and the director of the Laboratory of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Artificial Intelligence (IMIA). Internationally recognized, he is ranked among the top 2% of the world's most influential researchers, according to the 2023, 2024, 2025 Stanford & Elsevier ranking. Reference: As IoT ecosystems grow in complexity, traditional cybersecurity mechanisms struggle to cope with evolving and sophisticated threats. This talk presents AI-based solutions for enhancing cybersecurity in IoT environments, focusing on intelligent threat detection, behavioral analysis, and adaptive defense mechanisms. Advanced machine learning models are explored for detecting anomalies and zero-day attacks in real time. The integration of AI with secure communication protocols and lightweight cryptographic techniques is also discussed to address resource constraints in IoT devices. The presentation provides insights into current challenges and proposes future directions for building robust, adaptive, and intelligent cybersecurity frameworks for next-generation IoT systems.
