This presentation examines a practical, production-grade framework for migrating complex EPIC EHR ecosystems and their associated third-party clinical applications onto modern multi-cloud environments spanning AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Drawing from real-world implementations, the talk covers the design and deployment of cloud landing zones using AWS Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA), multi-zonal and multi-region high availability architectures, and Isolated Recovery Environments (IRE) engineered for healthcare business continuity. Special attention is given to the secure migration of Oracle database environments storing decades of sensitive patient data, and the governance protocols required to integrate these data stores with AI-enabled pipelines in full compliance with HIPAA and HITECH. The presentation also explores the application of AI Operations in healthcare infrastructure, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, agentic AI with multi-agent frameworks, and the use of AWS Bedrock foundation models for infrastructure automation. Attendees will gain practical insight into how DevSecOps principles, zero-trust network architecture, and continuous observability can be applied to protect hospital ecosystems against sophisticated modern cyberattacks while maintaining the application availability that patient safety demands.
