Biography

My research focuses on advanced anticancer drug delivery systems, particularly Mesoporous Nanoparticles (MNPs) for targeted treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Oral Thin Films (OTFs) for patient-friendly medicine delivery. The work aims to improve drug solubility, bioavailability, treatment safety, and patient adherence through innovative nanotechnology and pharmaceutical formulations.

Abstract Title

Mesoporous Nanoparticles and Oral Thin Films for Anticancer Drug Delivery and the Specific Role of Mesoporous Nanoparticles in HCC Therapy: Bridging Chemistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing in Patient‑Centered Care Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains difficult to treat, with few effective systemic options and substantial treatment‑related toxicity. Many anticancer drugs have poor solubility and low oral bioavailability, are cleared quickly, and distribute non‑selectively, which reduces efficacy and tolerability in patients who are often clinically frail. Mesoporous Nanoparticles (MNPs)—especially mesoporous silica systems—offer high drug‑loading capacity and controllable release and can be engineered to improve liver targeting while limiting systemic exposure. In HCC, MNPs may increase solubility and cellular uptake, enable sustained delivery, and help address multidrug resistance, improving the therapeutic index and safety profile of HCC‑directed therapies. Oral thin films (OTFs) are a patient‑friendly dosage form that can support anticancer care beyond HCC. They disintegrate rapidly, are easy to administer, and are often better accepted by patients with nausea, dysphagia, or complex medication regimens—common in advanced cancer. Used alongside MNP‑based therapies (for example, MNP‑loaded tablets or injectables for HCC, paired with OTFs for supportive or adjunctive medicines), these technologies connect pharmaceutical chemistry with pharmacy practice and nursing‑led, patient‑centered care. Together, they can reduce pill burden, simplify symptom‑management plans, and strengthen nurse–patient communication around adherence, adverse‑effect monitoring, and quality of life across diverse oncology settings. Overall, HCC‑focused Mesoporous Nanoparticles and broadly applicable oral thin films can work in complementary ways to support safer, more precise, and adherence‑friendly anticancer therapy—goals that align with nursing education, clinical practice, and global patient‑centered oncology.
