Biography

Fida Sanjakdar is an Associate Professor of Education at Monash University, specializing in critical sexuality education, pedagogy, and the intersections of religion, culture, and education. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne in Inclusive and Minority Education and previously worked as a primary and secondary school teacher. Her research is widely published across leading international journals in education, sexuality studies, sociology, and youth studies. She is the author and co-editor of several influential books, including Living West, Facing East and Critical Pedagogy, Sexuality Education and Young People. Dr. Sanjakdar is also the recipient of an Australian Research Council Discovery Award and multiple research excellence grants from Monash University
