Dr. Dereje Diriba Chemeda is an Ethiopian environmental scientist and analytical chemist with extensive academic and research experience in environmental sciences. Born in 1971 in Horo Guduru Wollega, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia, he has built a strong educational foundation in chemistry and environmental science through studies at Kotebe University of Education, Addis Ababa University, Dilla University, and Bule Hora University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences with specialization in Environmental Analytical Chemistry. His research focuses on environmental analysis, analytical chemistry, water and wastewater treatment, and waste management, with particular interest in addressing pressing environmental challenges through scientific investigation and practical solutions. Dr. Dereje’s work contributes to the advancement of sustainable environmental management and analytical methodologies in Ethiopia and beyond
