Abstract

Role of Modern Strategies for Drug Delivery Systems and Nanotechnology The field of drug delivery is undergoing a paradigm shift with the integration of cutting-edge nanotechnologies such as solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), micro robotics, dendrimers, and polymeric nanoparticles. These advanced systems aim to enhance therapeutic efficacy, minimize side effects, and improve patient compliance by enabling site-specific, controlled, and sustained release of drugs. Solid lipid nanoparticles, with their biocompatibility and ability to encapsulate both hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs, offer promising alternatives for oral, topical, and parenteral administration. Meanwhile, micro-robotics, a futuristic innovation, introduces precise navigation and programmable release of drugs at cellular and tissue levels, particularly in hard-to-reach sites such as tumours or deep-seated infections. The synergy between drug delivery science and nanotechnology opens new horizons in personalized and precision medicine. This abstract examines recent innovations, their biomedical applications, and the challenges of translating these technologies from lab to clinic.
