Putri Eka Sejati, SST.M.Kes is a dedicated academic and health professional from Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. Born on December 20, 1991, she is currently serving as a lecturer in the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at IIK Strada Indonesia. Putri has a robust academic background, including ongoing doctoral studies in Public Health with a focus on Family and Reproductive Health at Mahidol University, Thailand, expected to be completed in 2025. She earned her Master’s degree in Health Science (M.Kes) from the Department of Public Health at Stikes Surya Mitra Husada Kediri in 2017, specializing in maternal and child health. Her educational journey also includes a Bachelor's degree in Midwifery and a Diploma IV in Midwifery from Universitas Kadiri, along with a Diploma III from Universitas Tulungagung.
Beyond her academic work, Putri is actively involved in various professional organizations and community initiatives. She serves as the Chairman of the Indonesian Family Planning Association (PKBI) in Kediri, and she is an active member of the Indonesian Midwife Association (Ikatan Bidan Indonesia) and the HIV/AIDS Council in Tulungagung. Her contributions extend to education and advocacy, having participated in various national and international conferences and workshops on adolescent health, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health.
Putri’s research interests are vast and impactful, focusing on adolescent health, maternal care, and family functioning. She has authored multiple studies, including a qualitative study on teenage pregnancy and research on the impact of family support in pregnant women's health compliance. Her published work also covers a range of topics such as HIV/AIDS prevention, adolescent sexual behavior, and the effectiveness of sex education in preventing premarital sex.
In addition to her academic and research roles, Putri has extensive clinical experience as a midwife and therapist. She has worked as an obstetrician’s assistant and has provided specialized treatments such as postpartum therapy, acuyoga, and baby and mother spa therapy. Putri is also known for her leadership and teaching roles, having lectured at Universitas Wahidiyah and been involved in multiple health-focused community programs.
Her dedication to improving public health and education is further reflected in her numerous published books, including Panduan Sex Education antara Orang Tua dan Remaja (2022) and Kesehatan Reproduksi Medis Sosial Psikologi (2023). With her broad expertise and commitment to advancing maternal and adolescent health, Putri Eka Sejati continues to make significant contributions to both academia and the healthcare community.

FAMILY-FUNCTIONAL-BASED PROGRAM TO PREVENT TEENAGE PREGNANCY IN KEDIRI, EAST JAVA, INDONESIA: AN EXPLORATORY SEQUENTIAL MIXED-METHOD STUDY.
This mixed-method study is aimed at exploring the current situation of maternal health knowledge and family functioning practice of mothers and examining the effectiveness of the family-functional-based program to prevent teenage pregnancy in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. A qualitative study will be conducted by using semi-structured in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to explore the current situation related to maternal health knowledge and family functioning practice of mothers to prevent teenage pregnancy. Family-based program to prevent teenage pregnancy will be implemented for 13 weeks using an experimental study, pre-test and post-test design with a non-equivalent control group, and will be allocated 27 mother-daughter dyads equally in both intervention and control groups. Fifty-four mother-daughter dyads will be selected using a purposive sampling technique based on inclusion criteria. Data collection in this phase will be obtained through the semi-structured interview and online self-administration questionnaire from February until April 2024. The qualitative information will be analyzed by content while quantitative data will be analyzed by independent t-test, paired t-test, and two-way repeated measure ANOVA.
