How can AI draw conclusions from big data? Abstract The proliferation of big data across domains—healthcare, manufacturing, urban planning, and beyond—has outpaced traditional analytical methods, necessitating the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to extract actionable insights from vast, complex datasets. AI's ability to recognize patterns, predict trends, and support decision-making is transforming industries, but the scale, heterogeneity, and velocity of big data present unique challenges. AI approaches big data by employing advanced analytical techniques—machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and evolutionary algorithms—to process and interpret large, heterogeneous datasets. Hybrid approaches mitigate challenges related to data quality, noise, and missing values, while scalable architecture (distributed cloud, edge computing) ensures real-time, efficient processing. Explainable AI and privacy-preserving frameworks enhance trust and ethical deployment in high-stakes environments. The manuscript synthesizes theoretical foundations and practical advances in AI-driven big data analytics, focusing on methodologies, data processing, challenges, applications, and future directions.
