Dr. Silvia Gaftandzhieva received her Bachelor, Master and PhD degree in Informatics from the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski" in 2012, 2013 and 2017, respectively. Now, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski", Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Her research interestsinclude e-learning and distance learning, automated evaluation of quality in higher education, distance learning, learning analytics, data analytics, big data, business intelligence. Dr. Gaftandzhieva is an author of 80 scientific publications in the field of quality assurance (of HE, e-Learning, Projects, etc.), e-Learning, m-Learning, learning analytics, etc. with over 160 citations.
