Biography

Andres Andreu is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Constella Intelligence and a four-time award winning Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with leadership experience across federal government, media, education, and technology. He previously served in a federal technology leadership role at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and has held cybersecurity and technology executive leadership roles at Hearst, 2U/edX, Bayshore Networks, and Ogilvy & Mather. Andres is a three-time published author (including “The CISO Playbook”), board advisor, and frequent speaker on the adversarial mindset, cyber resilience, deception engineering, identity risk intelligence, and AI-enabled cybercrime. He holds CISSP, ISSAP, and QTE certifications and is known for translating emerging threat realities into practical executive and practitioner insights. Abstract Title

Adversarial Intelligence - How AI Powers Modern Cybercrime   Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer an emerging capability in cybercrime, it is now embedded in the adversary operating model. This presentation explores how modern threat actors are weaponizing AI to fundamentally change the economics, speed, and scale of attacks. From AI-assisted malware development and rapid iteration to the rise of offensive and dark large language models (LLMs), adversaries are reducing technical barriers while dramatically increasing operational efficiency. We examine how AI is enabling the industrialization of social engineering, including the use of deepfakes, synthetic identities, and “vibe hacking” techniques that manipulate human trust signals at scale. At the same time, adversaries are leveraging vast, continuously refreshed data ecosystems, spanning breach data, infostealer logs, OSINT, and illicit marketplaces, to build highly accurate, attack-ready targeting models. The session breaks down the anatomy of an AI-powered attack across its full lifecycle: reconnaissance, targeting, initial compromise, lateral movement, and monetization. It highlights how AI compresses time-to-execution, automates decision-making, and enables precision targeting that was previously unattainable without significant resources. What once took weeks of coordination and expertise can now be executed in minutes with machine-assisted workflows. Finally, the talk concludes with a detailed case study that brings these elements together, demonstrating how identity intelligence, exposed data, automation pipelines, and AI-driven tradecraft converge into a cohesive, end-to-end adversarial campaign.
