Abstract Title

Resilient IoT Architectures: Security, Privacy, and AI Integration in Smart Environments The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies has transformed smart environments across domains such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, smart cities, and industrial automation. However, the increasing interconnectivity of heterogeneous devices has introduced significant challenges related to cybersecurity, privacy preservation, scalability, and system resilience. Traditional security frameworks are often insufficient to address the dynamic and distributed nature of modern IoT ecosystems. This paper explores resilient IoT architectures that integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and cloud-edge computing paradigms to enhance security, privacy, and adaptive decision-making in smart environments. The study examines emerging threats including data breaches, ransomware attacks, unauthorized device access, and adversarial AI attacks, while highlighting the need for intelligent and autonomous security mechanisms. The proposed discussion emphasizes AI-driven anomaly detection, predictive threat intelligence, zero-trust architectures, federated learning for privacy preservation, and blockchain-enabled trust management as key enablers for resilient IoT infrastructures. Additionally, the paper investigates the role of edge intelligence in reducing latency and improving real-time security responses in mission-critical applications. The work further outlines the challenges associated with interoperability, energy efficiency, ethical AI deployment, regulatory compliance, and secure data governance. By presenting current research trends, practical implementations, and future research directions, this study aims to provide a comprehensive framework for designing secure, scalable, and intelligent IoT architectures capable of supporting next-generation smart environments.
