Rathna R is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at R.M.K. Engineering College, Chennai, a position she has held since June 2026. She is also a Research Scholar at Anna University's College of Engineering Guindy, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. Her doctoral thesis, supervised by Dr. M A Bhagayevani, focuses on "5G Antenna Design for V2X Communication." She previously served as an Assistant Professor at C.K. College of Engineering. Rathna R holds an M.E. in Communication Systems and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, both from Anna University, Chennai. Her academic achievements include receiving the Best Research Student Award and a Best Paper Presentation Award from IEEE. Her research contributions are evident in her numerous journal publications and granted patents, particularly in the areas of antenna design and 5G communication systems
