Sanchita Sarkar

Dr. Sanchita Sarkar is a Professor of Mathematics at NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, India, where she has been serving since January 2022. She has been associated with the institution since 2011, previously serving as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Prior to joining NSHM, she held faculty positions at Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management. Dr. Sarkar earned her Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Calcutta, with a doctoral thesis on the development of inventory models using operational research techniques under crisp, stochastic, and fuzzy environments. With over two decades of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience, she has made significant contributions to applied mathematics, optimization, and operations research. She has published numerous research papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings, holds patents, serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals, and has successfully organized and coordinated national and international conferences and research workshops. She is the recipient of several academic honors, including the Best Academician of the Year Award (2025) and Best Faculty Award (2011), recognizing her excellence in teaching, research, and academic service
