Dr. Mahdi H. Miraz is an Associate Professor at the School of Computing and Data Science, Xiamen University Malaysia, where he also leads the Blockchain, IoT and Networking Research Group (BITNet RG). He holds a PhD in Computing (2016) from Wrexham University, UK, and completed his postdoctoral research (with fellowship) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020, serving as a Senior Fellow there until 2022. Dr. Miraz is recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists (2022–2025) by Stanford University and Scopus. He is the recipient of the 2023 European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) Fellowship Award and the 2019 Owen Glyndŵr Award. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE), and an Associate Editor of the Annals of Emerging Technologies in Computing. He also holds visiting and external positions at several universities worldwide
