Dr. Abhishek Das is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Aliah University, Kolkata, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Jadavpur University, India, an M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Kansas State University, USA, and a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Kalyani University, India. He has held academic positions at the University of West Scotland, UK (as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow under the European Commission), Tripura University (a Central University), the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST), and Bengal Engineering and Science University (now IIEST Shibpur). Dr. Das also has industry experience as a Business System Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield New York and as a Quality Analyst at Vensoft Inc., USA, in addition to working as a Consultant Project Manager. He has served on deputation at AICTE (under MHRD, Govt. of India) as Regional Officer and Assistant Director. He is an Associate Editor of several journals, including Microsystem Technologies (SCI Indexed, Springer), and an Editorial Board Member of IJCDS (Elsevier, Scopus Indexed). He has filed 9 patents and 1 copyright in India and the UK. He is a Fellow of IETE, NBSP, and SAIARD, and a member of IEEE, ACM, and CSI. He is also a Visiting Scientist at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and a recipient of the NCERT National Scholar and Tilford Dow Scholar, USA awards.
