Prof. Pascal Lorenz is a Professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, where he has been since 1995. He received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995, he worked as a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and Alcatel-Alsthom. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents, and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. He has served on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, including IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Networks Magazine, and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He has held numerous leadership roles within IEEE ComSoc, including Chair of various Technical Committees, Chair of IEEE ComSoc France, and Financial Chair of IEEE France. He has served as Co-Program Chair, Executive Vice-Chair, TPC Vice Chair, and Symposium Co-Chair for major IEEE conferences such as ICC, Globecom, WCNC, and VTC. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, an IARIA Fellow, and was an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer (2013–2014). He has also served as Co-Guest Editor for special issues of several leading journals and is an Associate Editor for multiple international journals, including the International Journal of Communication Systems (Wiley), Journal on Security and Communication Networks (Wiley), and Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier)
