Margherita Mori is a seasoned scholar in the broad area of finance and an independent consultant; her current activities include her designation by CONSOB (Italian Companies and Exchange Commission) as an alternate member of the decision-making Board of the Securities and Financial Ombudsman (ACF), the body tasked with the out-of-court settlement of disputes between savers and intermediaries. Furthermore, she is one of the Vice-Chairs of the International Research Association of Modern Education and Computer Science (RAMECS), Hong Kong SAR, China, and a member of the Committees ?Business & Economics? and ?Social Sciences & Humanities?, International Center of Informatics and Computer Science (ICICS), Kyiv, Ukraine, as well as a member of the SETTLE Network on ?Population imbalances in Europe?, coordinated by the University of Alcal? de Henares, Spain, and an Associate Member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), Japan.She served as a full professor in Financial Markets and Institutions (1999-2022) at the University of L?Aquila, Department of Industrial and Information Engineering and of Economics, Economy Area, Italy, where she had also been teaching Bank Management since 1994; on behalf of this University, acted as the scientific coordinator of the cooperative agreement with ASM Group of Institutes, Pune, India (since January 2020); had served as the scientific coordinator of the cooperative agreement between her University and S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro-Technical University in Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), Kazakhstan (2013-2018), as Vice-Dean (2008-2012) and Head of her Department (1999-2000); had been previously appointed as an associate professor at the University of Lecce, Italy (1992-1994), and as an assistant professor at the University of Cassino (FR), Italy (1988-1992).Prof. Mori has single-authored many articles and books on financial matters, mostly in English in the last decade, with special emphasis on innovative topics in banking and evolutionary trends in global finance, encompassing financial education and sustainability issues, since 1988; has been involved in multi-faceted academic activities ? including exchange/visiting programs and international research projects ? in 4 continents (including Albania, China, Finland, Greece, Kazakhstan, Hungary, India, Macedonia, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and the US); is one of the Editors-in-Chief of IJIEEB-International Journal of Information Engineering and Electronic Business (Hong Kong SAR, China) and a member of the Scientific Council of the RARD-Review of Agriculture and Rural Development (Hungary), besides acting as a referee for other scientific journals and publishers.She graduated cum laude in 1980. 

Dottore? in Economics and Commerce at the University of Rome (now ?La Sapienza?), Italy, where she passed the qualifying examination as ?Dottore Commercialista? (chartered accountant) in 1986; in the meantime, studies had been undertaken by her in Spain, Denmark and Hungary (1980-1981, thanks to scholarships awarded by their Governments through Italy?s Ministry of Foreign Affairs), as well as in the US, leading to her 2-year MBA from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA) in 1983, with financial support in this case being provided by the Rotary Foundation (USA), Ente Einaudi (now Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance, Italy) and PEO International Peace Scholarship Fund; before undertaking her successful academic career, she played operating roles in the insurance and banking industries at the headquarters of primary institutions (Sara Assicurazioni SpA and Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, now SpA and part of BNP Paribas Group) in Rome, Italy (1984-1988).
