Biography

Manykandaprebou Vaitinadin is an SAP Enterprise Architect with over 25 years of experience, including 17+ years leading SAP ECC and S/4HANA transformation programs across retail, luxury goods, life sciences, energy, and manufacturing. He currently leads the Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, Logistics, and Supply Chain workstream on a brownfield SAP S/4HANA 2025 conversion at Epson America. A Senior Member of IEEE, he is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and three original practitioner frameworks — POGT, S4FO, and EDSI-MM — addressing AI-driven procurement automation, cloud ERP orchestration, and event-driven supply chain integration.

Abstract Title

Title: Event-Driven Intelligent Architecture for Enterprise ERP: Embedding AI/ML into Cloud-Native Procure-to-Pay and Supply Chain Systems - Abstarct:  Enterprise resource planning systems remain the operational backbone of global commerce, yet most were architected for batch processing, deterministic workflows, and monolithic deployment models that predate the cloud-native and AI/ML era. As organizations migrate to platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, the architectural question is no longer whether to modernize the technology stack, but how to embed machine intelligence into transactional processes without compromising the auditability, data integrity, and regulatory compliance that enterprise systems are required to guarantee. This keynote presents a practitioner's architectural perspective on that problem, drawn from more than two decades of enterprise transformation programs across retail, luxury goods, life sciences, and manufacturing. It examines how event-driven design patterns, cloud-native integration layers, and applied machine learning models can be composed into a coherent reference architecture for procure-to-pay and supply chain execution — one that delivers real-time responsiveness while remaining governable at enterprise scale. The discussion introduces three frameworks developed and refined through field implementation: POGT, addressing intelligent purchase order generation and transaction automation; S4FO, a five-layer orchestration model for structuring AI services around a cloud ERP core; and EDSI-MM, an event-driven supply chain integration maturity model that helps organizations assess and sequence their transition from batch-oriented to event-oriented operations. Each is examined not as a theoretical construct but through the architectural trade-offs, integration constraints, and organizational realities encountered in production deployments. The session closes by considering where intelligent enterprise architecture is heading: the shift toward agentic and autonomous decision layers, the widening gap between AI capability and enterprise data readiness, and the emerging discipline of designing systems in which human oversight and machine autonomy are deliberately partitioned rather than accidentally blended.
