Biography

I am a healthcare IT and business systems professional with more than 15 years of experience delivering payer-system solutions across claims, provider, enrollment, benefits, billing, authorizations, and utilization management. I  specialize in TriZetto Facets implementations, healthcare data migration, claims adjudication, HIPAA X12 EDI transactions, SQL-based reporting, and FHIR/API interoperability. I  led complex initiatives involving Amisys-to-Facets migrations, Facets upgrades and extensions, CMS interoperability mapping, provider-data maintenance, claims workflow and scrubber logic, and integrations with utilization-management partners. Amit combines deep functional knowledge of U.S. health-plan operations with technical expertise in data models, batch processing, requirements analysis, testing, and production support. I hold an M.S. in Computer Information Science, an MBA in Marketing and Finance, and an ITIL certification. I also serve as Chair of the IEEE Lehigh Valley Section and contribute to professional and scholarly work in healthcare payer technology, Medicaid systems integration, and AI-driven utilization management.

The presentation introduces cloud fundamentals, including the NIST characteristics of cloud computing, service models such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and deployment approaches including public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. It also examines cloud architecture, major providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, and essential security practices including shared responsibility, identity management, encryption, compliance, and cloud governance. Finally, the session highlights cloud economics, FinOps, real-world use cases, and emerging trends such as AI-native cloud, edge computing, serverless platforms, sovereign cloud, quantum services, and sustainable computing.
