Abstract Title

Scaling Responsible AI: Product Governance as the Missing Layer in Cloud-Native Energy Systems

As energy organizations accelerate adoption of AI and cloud-native architectures, the gap between technical capability and responsible deployment continues to widen. This presentation examines product governance as a critical, often-overlooked layer for scaling AI responsibly within cloud-native energy systems. Drawing on practitioner experience in enterprise product leadership, the talk explores how governance frameworks, risk management practices, and cross-functional accountability structures can be embedded directly into product development life cycles rather than treated as compliance afterthoughts. Key themes include AI governance models for mission-critical infrastructure, cloud architecture considerations for auditability and resilience, and practical strategies for aligning product, engineering, and risk teams. The session offers actionable frameworks for technology leaders seeking to scale AI initiatives in the energy sector without compromising safety, transparency, or trust.
