Lameka Patterson, CNP is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a broad and diverse clinical background. She has experience caring for patients in hospice, home health, emergency medicine, the operating room, outpatient primary geriatric care, general surgery and long-term care settings. Her clinical interests include pulmonology, surgical care and comprehensive primary care for older adults. Lameka believes nursing provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients. She is dedicated to building trusting provider-patient relationships and fostering an environment where patients feel heard, informed and empowered to make decisions about their health. She finds the greatest fulfillment in helping her patients achieve better health through compassionate, personalized care. Lameka earned a Graduate Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia. She is board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers. Outside of work, Lameka enjoys reading and traveling the world.
