Dr. Samarth Jayeshbhai Shelat is an Assistant Professor at Charutar Vidya Mandal University (CVM University), Anand, Gujarat, India, with expertise in Energy and Fuels, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. He has been associated with CVM University since 2011 and has developed an academic and research profile focused on sustainable energy solutions and advanced automotive technologies. Dr. Shelat holds a Diploma in Automobile Engineering, a B.E. in Automobile Engineering, an M.Tech. in Heat Power Thermal Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Automobile Engineering, awarded by The Charutar Vidya Mandal CVM University in 2025. His research interests include alternative and sustainable fuels, waste-plastic-derived fuels, internal combustion engine performance, combustion and emission characteristics, electric vehicles, vehicle technologies, and sustainable mobility. His research work includes the performance evaluation of internal combustion engines using waste plastic fuel and investigations into environmentally friendly alternative fuels for automotive applications. Dr. Shelat has contributed to numerous research publications and technical works covering sustainable fuels, electric vehicle technologies, vehicle aerodynamics, automotive engineering, engine performance, biodiesel, automotive suspension systems, and related areas. He has also co-authored textbooks on Entrepreneurship Skills and Fundamentals of Automobile Engineering. In recognition of his academic and research contributions, Dr. Shelat received the Academic Excellence (Research Excellence) Award from CVM University in 2025. He was also awarded Best Poster in Automobile Engineering during Research Week 2024. He is a Lifetime Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and a Lifetime Member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Dr. Shelat brings a strong combination of academic experience, research expertise, and practical interest in sustainable energy and automotive technologies. His expertise and research contributions make him a valuable member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Semiconductors and Energy Storage Technologies 2027 (ICSEST 2027).
