Dr. Ampee Tasung is a Scientist (Soil Science) at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Arunachal Pradesh Centre, Basar. She obtained her B.Sc. in Horticulture from Central Agricultural University, Imphal, M.Sc. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Navsari Agricultural University, Gujarat, and Ph.D. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. Her research focuses on soil fertility management, acid soil management, nutrient dynamics, and clay–organic humus interactions governing carbon stabilization and nutrient availability in soils, particularly in the North Eastern Himalayan region of India. She has published research papers, book chapters, and popular articles, and is a recipient of the Chancellor's Gold Medal and the INSPIRE Senior Research
