Awol Ali Mohammed

Awol Ali is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at Hawassa University, Ethiopia, with over eight years of academic and research experience. He holds master’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy and has published more than 30 scholarly works, including Scopus-indexed journal articles, policy briefs, and conference proceedings. His work focuses on hydropolitics, peace and security, democracy, governance, human rights, and socio-political dynamics in the Horn of Africa. He has secured several national and international research grants and collaborated with organizations such as GIZ, the British Council, EUPE, and the Rift Valley Institute on peacebuilding, governance, and conflict transformation projects. Awol Ali has received multiple awards for academic and research excellence, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals from Hawassa University
