Rev. Lucky Amarachukwu Onebunne, PhD is a Lecturer I in the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Nigeria. He holds a PhD and MA in English (Language Studies) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, a PGDE from Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, and a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He has served as Lecturer I (2024–Present), Lecturer II (2021–2024), and Assistant Lecturer (2020–2021) at UNIZIK. Prior to joining the university, he taught English Language under the Anambra State Post Primary Schools Service Commission (2013–2020). He is also an Anglican Clergyman (2018–Present) and currently serves as Deputy Director (Arts), JUPEB, Nnamdi Azikiwe University. Dr. Onebunne's research interests span linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, literary studies, digital communication, and cultural studies. He has authored and co-authored over 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters, with publications in reputable national and international journals. He has presented papers at major academic conferences, including the Lagos Studies Association Conferences, the Nigerian Academy of Letters Conference, the University of Texas at Austin African Conference, and the University of California Global Africana Studies Research Conference. In 2024, he received a TETFund Conference Grant Award. Dr. Onebunne also serves as Chief Editor of the USAR Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Editor of the RKGP Journal for Social Sciences and Arts, and reviewer for several academic journals. His academic and professional engagements reflect a strong commitment to research, teaching, scholarship, and community service.
