Prof. Dr. Hacı Mehmet Şahin is a Professor in the Department of Energy Systems Engineering at Gazi University, Türkiye, with over 35 years of academic and research experience. He earned his PhD in Nuclear Energy Engineering in 1997 and has held a full professorship at Gazi University since 2007. His expertise spans nuclear energy, thermal hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. He has undertaken visiting research appointments at CERN, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and General Atomics. He has supervised numerous postgraduate theses, led research projects, and provided technical consultancy to industry. He has authored more than 90 publications in nuclear and renewable energy and is the founder and chair of the International Conference on Nuclear and Renewable Energy Resources (NURER) series, established in 2009.
